Learning From The Father's Chastening

Well, God definitely allows me to continue learning! Today would have been a better day for me, spiritually, if I had just heeded the warnings from God's Word!  Aah, you'd think I'd have learned by now...
Just as I spoke yesterday, one must always be on guard while guarding the home!  Unfortunately for me, I gave in to temptations early on in my day, thus enabling a foothold for my flesh and Satan.  Nevertheless, God claimed the victory when He worked on my heart to repent toward Him; confessing my sins and seeking His forgiveness, He claimed the victory!
When those days come for you, too, my dear sister in Christ, be quick to repent!  Nothing's sweeter than a close relationship with Christ.  The only way for you and I to have that close relationship is obeying His commands.  "If ye love me, keep my commandments."  John 14:15
Oh, bless the Lord, for He indeed is good!  Since He is a good Father, He is good to chastise me when I need it!  I thank Him publicly for caring so much for me to not only die for me, come back from the dead for me, save my soul, but also continue working on my life to be as such as brings Him honour, glory, and pleasure!

"...My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:  For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and every son whom he receiveth.  If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?  But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.  Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence:  shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?  For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness."  Hebrews 12:5a-10

  1. As the saying goes,

    "been there done that"

I am learning so much right that God is revealing to me, therefore I know the testing of obedience is heading my way. Will I learn and obey? Time will tell. I pray that I will!
