"It's Not Just Black & White," By Ken Ham

Ever in a position, where you are wanting an answer for those who question the legitimacy of the fact of our "one blood," as far as humanity is concerned?  Here is a great article for you!

W.o.W. Wednesday!

I do not know everyone's position on street-preaching.  Myself, I have gone back and forth in my affections for it.  I have seen men (and, women) do it both well, and poorly.
Being married to a preacher, has given me opportunity to listen to a variety of other preachers (tends to go with the territory).  Some of them do, or have in the past, street preach.  Others, do not.
This video I am sharing today, is of one man from whom I have been greatly blessed.  We have heard many of his sermons over the years.  There was a time he even gave good, Biblical counsel (over the phone) to Dear; and, he does not even personally know us.
This video is of him teaching why he is a pastor that street preaches.  I believe it is a well-prayed-up, and well-versed-in-Scripture, sermon on the matter.  I pray you avail yourself of this sermon, and at least get a better understanding of those Christians who go out and share the Gospel in this manner.  I know it helps me understand them better!

P.S.  My husband is a street preacher.  And, I love that he has a heart to be a "fool" for Jesus.  His example encourages me to be a better witness for our Saviour.

Yes, this is my husband's hand, holding what once was his Bible.  It's now in the possession of his sister, whom he desires to see saved.

W.o.W. Wednesday!

"People are stumbling over the simplest things. Take, for instance, that word believeth. You would think that was plain enough for anybody, but all my life I have heard people say, 'I have always believed, and yet I am not saved.' It does not say, 'Whosoever believeth the Bible, or creeds, or even the gospel story,'
but it does say, 'Whosoever believeth in him.' What is it to believe in Him? It means to put your soul's confidence in Him, to trust in Him, God's blessed Son."

Blackberry Crisp Bars

Last week, I was invited by my friend, who happens to also be our neighbour, to go over to her property and pick some fresh blackberries with her youngins.  Mmm, what do you think I did?  If you guessed, "Go over and pick some fresh blackberries," you would be correct!

I was able to fill a large colander to the brim with the plump, ripe blackberries.  Now, what to do with them?  Well, I have done a few things.

The first thing I did was rinse them well:  a filtered water-vinegar bath.  Then, I rinsed them again, this time with just filtered water.  Then, I took enough to fill a baking dish, to flash freeze them.  I bagged those frozen ones in a gallon-sized freezer bag, and put them back in the freezer; where they abide to this day, awaiting their time of use.

The others I left in a colander, and put in the refrigerator.  I planned on using them in some sort of crisp/bar recipe.  However, long-time-no-see family came down for the weekend, to my surprise!, and they stayed nice and cool in the back of the refrigerator.

I had found a recipe online, for Blueberry Crisp Bars, from  I knew I could replace the blueberries with the blackberries.  So, today, I finally set my course to make them!  I cannot take credit of this recipe.  But, oh boy, do I want to share it with you!  Please click on the highlighted link, to go find this easy, delicious recipe!

W.o.W. Wednesday!

"I prayed for Faith, and thought that some day Faith would come down and strike me like lightning. But Faith did not seem to come. One day I read in the tenth chapter of Romans, 'Now Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God'. I had closed my Bible, and prayed for Faith. I now opened my Bible, and began to study, and Faith has been growing ever since."

**UPDATED**Come Peek Into My Closet, And You Will Find...

Why I Stopped Covering My Hair

...All manner of clothing!  Yet, there is one particular item I seek to talk about today:

...There, I said it.  That is the matter of which I desire to speak to you today...

What I am about to share with you, is a matter near and dear to me.  It is not a topic that is widely acclaimed, yet it is one spoken of in the Scriptures.  It is one that set me apart.  Though it set me apart, it also drew me in to where I am today.
This matter, in my honest opinion, is really a minute matter, compared to other doctrines of the Bible.  Sure, I do believe every part of the Bible is essential; yet, I see that some matters are weightier than others.  However, I am bringing this matter to the light today, because of the impact it has made in my life...

...What is the "big deal?"

Well, if you were the Christian lady, whom for years never even thought of wearing such a thing on her head...If you were the Christian lady, who drew immediate attention to herself, once putting said-item on her head, from those of whom did not see said-practice coming...If you were the Christian lady, who drew attention while out-and-about...You would understand.  Folks' reactions became the big deal for me...At least, in the beginning.
The stares, questioning glances, avoidance, and disapproval were all intimidating.  Not many asked my reason why; and for those who did, I was rather ill-prepared to answer.  I had been shaken by the avoidance of others, the condemning accusations, or the condemning looks, to confidently share my "why."  However, I knew why, and was confident in my reason, and wanted an opportunity to share.
I also wanted to share my reason, for any other Christian women who are/were in my shoes.  I remember how difficult it was for me, to find other women who were "like me."  Those precious few, (and those who may not have practiced the covering, but respected it/me), were truly a God-send to me.
So, I have written a book.  Last year, I had much time to sit and think.  My husband and I were in an "in-between" time of our lives, so I took advantage of it.
I am still fairly new to this practice.  I only started "covering" in November 2012.  I have learned various ways to "cover."  I am still learning about it, just as I am still learning about all matters of dress.  Yet, the Lord has taught me so much about it and Him, through the study of the doctrine.
Before I wrote this book that I now desire to share with you, I was very timid in explaining my reasoning.  I did not, and still do not, like confrontations.  It has become easier, now that I have really been the "oddball."  Seriously, think about it:  How many church folks do you know that go around wearing snoods/kerchiefs/coverings of any sort, due to 1 Corinthians 11?  I would gander to say, not many...To none at all!  Can you understand why I may have been looked upon with great interest?
There have been many sweet blessings, since I started practicing it.  I do not wish to leave folks with the idea that it is all some rigid, religious, holier-than-thou-attitude, burdensome thing I do.  No, the only burden I had was considering the thoughts of men (and women).  The blessings have been akin to when I started dressing modestly...

I know I am not the only one.  In fact, the first Christian "covering" lady I "met" was in a similar situation as myself, though years preceding me:  who, I am privileged to say, is my friend.  (You can find her writing here.)  There is another lady, whom I know of, that had gone through a similar experience.  So, I am not the only one.
Now that I am unashamedly a peculiar lady for Christ, in this regard, I come back to the reason for this post:  to share why I am so living.  So, without further ado, I am sharing my book with you.  I do hope you will read it, and all the way to the end.  I look forward to hearing your considerate thoughts on the matter!

When My Health Started Improving!

Some of you that frequent my blog, may have noticed that I am advertising for "Beeyoutiful."  There is a valid reason for it.  I do not typically advertise for someone/thing in whom/which I am not confident. :)
About a year and a half ago, I was in a very bad place, nutritionally.  I already suffer with issues, thanks to having my gallbladder removed nearly twelve years ago (and other things).  However, I did not realize how nutritionally-depleted my body was!
I was having these symptoms:  brain fog; fatigue; fist-clenching while sleeping (I would wake up with my finger joints sore); teeth-clenching and grinding while sleeping (again, waking up with sore jaw); menstrual irregularities; sore joints...The list continued.  I was already seeking a healthier diet:  Non-GMO; all-natural; organic; raw milk; lots of cleansing vegetables and fruits; healthy fats; healthy protein.  However, I just could not get over that "hump."

My naturopathic doctor had already started me on my journey.  I first saw her when I was scared. I had been encouraged to take metformin, due to my weight/reproductive issues.  Yet, having done some research, I decided it would be best for me to visit the naturopath in town.  So, to the naturopath I went!
Immediately, she taught me what I should have learned earlier, about healthy living and such.  Then, she pointed me to supplements to help with my lack of a gallbladder.  Let me tell you, I have noticed quite the improvement since taking them!  I, sadly, have been the recipient of many ailments associated with having no gallbladder.  Yet, the Lord has taught me much!
She also encouraged me to not take over-the-counter vitamins, as I was typical to do.  When I brought in the ones I was currently taking, she wanted me to take triple the amounts listed per day to take (it was a once-a-day pill).  I was shocked!  Yet, now, I know why...
Intimidated by the high cost of better vitamins, I neglected taking her advice.  I kept taking the over-the-counter vitamins, once a day.  Of course, I had no real changes; other than the digestive ones with the new enzyme supplements I started taking religiously.
A few years went by, and I was becoming desperate.  I did not like the depression I would have, along with the other ailments I would see in me.  I started researching.  Then, at Jill's Home Remedies, I saw an ad for "Beeyoutiful."  I decided to take a gander...
My first shock was the astronomical numbers I saw, in the doses of the vitamins!  I immediately chatted with online support, to find out why such large numbers.  After an half-hour to an hour conversation, I was relieved to learn their reasons.  I encourage you to do your own research, asking questions, before taking anything.  At the very least, you will become more knowledgeable!
I noticed the pricing was similar to what I saw at my doctor's office.  After researching, I realized that those prices were the going-rate of any good quality multi-vitamin.  God, I believe, quickly removed any fears about purchasing the vitamins.  I finally decided to buy the "Family Pack."
Once I received them in the mail, I started taking them.  FIVE DAYS LATER, I started noticing changes!  FIVE DAYS LATER!
It did not take much time for my body to say "Thank you!"  Just about all those symptoms I mentioned earlier, were disappearing within two month's time.  I was ecstatic!
I cannot tell you the difference these vitamins, because the Lord allows it, to make in my life, for the better!  This is the reason why I am a happy affiliate of "Beeyoutiful!"  I gladly will point folks to check into this company, and decide for themselves:
