Sinning Saints

Sin.  What does that word conjure up in your mind?  What feeling does it bring to your heart?  What part does it have in your life?
For me, I am guilty of allowing my flesh to rule me, rather than the Spirit.  Not once, not twice, not thrice...But, an innumerable amount.  Of which, since becoming a child of God, I have endured God's chastening for such behavior.
Oh, the war that has transpired within me, both in the past and in the present!  For, when temptations arise, I have the choice to succumb to them, or flee.  Unfortunately, too many times I have yielded to temptation, which then breeds sin.
Yet, the sweet victory in Jesus!  Oh, had I but flown to His bosom for safety, rather than shame Him!  I know my sins are under the blood, but I best never dare use His gift as an excuse to sin!
Since I know, from shameful experience, what it is to backslide from living a holy life for the One who died for me, I desire to plead with you to walk circumspectly; to not compromise for a temporal "peace;" to not heed the flesh, but the Spirit...
Yet, how does one deal with the turmoil that arises when they do sin?  Or, does it trouble you not?  Here is an article that has helped me, and pray will help you, too.
