He simply wants us to be keepers at home. What a joy to be in our rightful place. I thank God often for this gift.He is the only response we need give. Simply being obedient to the calling on our lives.Blessings, Dawn E. Brown I do have 3 grown children, and now that they are grown and married ,off on their own, I still love being a keeper at home. I have no plans to enter the work force outside of my little cottage...Dawn E. It speaks very deeply to me reading your wise words. I never realized the sin and temptation I can go through when I feel guilty or ashamed of what others think of me while I am in this calling. I've had family friends call me "lazy" after the first second they hear I am the keeper of our home and not working "outside" of the home. But I do work! Keeping a home clean, orderly, organized, cooking, errands, and still doing what I love from home can be a challenge and very busy, but SO rewarding and I love every minute of it. God's words about having an answer to questions of the faith ready spoke greatly to me. I usually stumble when people ask, already knowing what they will probably be thinking of me, or my husband. God also helps to give us the words and confidence in knowing we are where we are called to be and we don't need to prove ourselves to anyone, especially because He sees it all and knows all the truths of our lives.

Our current society is always "progressing" away from our core Christian values. The good thing is that His word NEVER changes and every person faces a Christian struggle in some way but you are right that they can help us grow and mature.

My husband and I also don't have children as you know so the pressure and judgement can be greater, but no matter if you have children or not, there is ALWAYS something to fill our time for sure, and little pleasures too like decorating and being in your own space. It's our Queendom! In home working or outside working, we still have the opportunity to love and enjoy our little place of "home" in a world that isn't.

Thank you Renee for reminding me, inspiring me and encouraging me! You are so valued!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02605829548509777871noreply@blogger.com
